On a Mission!

Hi Friends! I'm sure by now you all know that I have become a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Why, you may ask. Well I'll tell you. I am on a mission! This mission is to work from home. After having almost 12 weeks off work with my wonderful new princess I have decided that "regular" employment is not for me. I have not resigned from my position yet, I'd like to build my business first. I started looking for something to do from home just after Kynlee was born. I have prayed since I found out I was expecting her for God to help us find a way to keep me home. I have sent countless applications into cyber-world with nothing working out. I firmly believe that God opens and closes doors to send you in the direction of His will. We found this out after my husband'd business burned to the ground the day after Kynlee was born. He and I were both willing to close the business and for him to find a job. I was actually a little excited about the thought of not being the wife of a business owner (insert stress here). But God had a different plan. As soon as friends, business associates, family started hearing of the fire, the support started pouring in. People sent prayers, cards, donations encouraging Doug to rebuild the business. If that wasn't a direct sign I'm not sure what is. He is now in his new office and despite the extreme amount of extra work he has to do now, things are looking up. While my search for something to do from home continued, I met a new friend named Kali. I knew before I met her that she is very successful with Mary Kay. So I thought I'd give it a try. My starter kit was not expensive and at this point, what do I have to lose? I can at least get some beauty products for a discounted price. I am very serious about staying at home somehow, some way. So here we go. Stay tuned for a "Launch Party" soon. I do have a website set up so ordering can begin. December the 12th is the day I will return to my "other job." I admit I feel quite disappointed that God didn't open the doors I was hoping He would open. But I still trust that He knows what's best and I will work hard and be praying for God to bless my new business.

Zumba Anyone?

Today I attended my first Zumba class. Wow! It was so fun but my hips don't lie! They showed everyone that they don't move like that. Guess I'll just have to practice. I also wanted to let you all know that my friend Judy has become a Scentsy Consultant and is hosting her first show. It's just in time for Christmas gifts and who wouldn't want something to make their house smell good. I'll be there to help with crowd control. I'll list the details below. Hope you can make it. Check out the link below where you can order directly from her website. Judy's Launch Party December 9th 6:30pm 7413 Northpointe Blvd Pensacola, Fl 32514

Welcome to the new blog about our Jolly life! I'm sure I am like most moms out there who feel as though they have too much on their plate but wouldn't change a thing. This blog is a way to help me keep up with my thoughts and goals and share them with others. One of the things I do in my spare time is sew bags. Check out another blog of mine by clicking on "Bags Made by Me." It will show you some of the bags I've created. I do not currently keep an inventory but can sew something custom for you. Victorious Sisters is an open facebook group that myself and some friends created. We simply want to cheer each other on and inspire physical activity. Some ladies have completed marathons and some walk around the block for exercise. Everyone is accepted and encouraged to achieve their goals. I will be training for a half-marathon and a sprint triathlon in 2012. I will post my training plan and progress for your viewing pleasure. I'd also love to share your happenings with others. I've tried the sell from home route, and while I think there are many success stories out there, I am not one of them. I'm completely okay with that. If you are currently selling items through home parties, etsy, your own website, etc. I'd love to share it. Check out my "What Do You Sell" Page for more info. The last page I have so far is the "Learn How" page. I love to get inspired by someone else's ideas so I will either post tutorials on things I learn how to do or give you a link to something I think is amazing! As the ideas come the page will evolve so stay tuned for more!
